Until March of 2017 I served as the Klamath County District Attorney and Chair of the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, which regulates recreational cannabis, alcohol and Oregon’s container recycling program.
Previously, I was elected for three terms as an Oregon State Representative where I served in positions of Majority Whip, Chair of the Public Safety Sub-Committee of Ways and Means, and as Co-Chair of the Joint Legislative Committee on Information Management and Technology. I have also been the President of the Medford City Council and served as the General Counsel and District Director for U.S. Congressman Greg Walden

My private sector business experience includes being the General Counsel for Pacific Retirement Services, Inc., President of a multi-state real estate development firm, Corporate Counsel for a NASDAQ traded company, small business owner, and business consultant.
I grew up on a working cattle ranch in Eagle Point, Oregon. I am an Eagle Scout. I have served on the board of directors of several non-profits and continue to volunteer in the community.
I am married to Mary Patridge and we have two children.
